What is a safari?

Safari is the Swahili word for travel. During your safari with… you make game drives through the most beautiful wild parks and will enjoy the most beautifully sceneries and animals.

Day 1:  Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Pick up from Kilimanjaro /Arusha City and drive to Ngorongoro, descend to the Crater floor for game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Picnic lunch will take place at hippo pool.  Ascend to the rim for dinner and overnight at Camp/Lodge.

Day 2:  Ngorongoro-Nduru Area

After breakfast you will head to the Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes; however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. You arrive in time for lunch at the camp, and after lunch you will do an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

Dinner and overnight at Camp/Lodge.

Day 3: Ndutu Area-Seronera (Serengeti)

After breakfast take a packed lunch with you and continue with game viewing around Ndutu area on Southern Serengeti Park. The migration can be seen on a long chain approximately 40 Km heading to the south western direction. After lunch proceed with your game viewing following the move of the migrants on the southwest of the park. Approx. 1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles and 200,000 Zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass/ water which are the source of food for the millions of Animals in this South Area. Later Afternoon you will drive to Center of Serengeti.

Dinner and overnight at Campsite/Lodge.

Day 5:  Serengeti – Arusha

Enjoy early morning game viewing in the Serengeti where you may encounter the migration consisting of over 2 million animals. They also attract the attention of predators like hyena and you may be able to see a band of lion’s gang up for a hunt and afternoon game end route back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro and you will arrive in Arusha in the late evening where the tour will end at hotel or airport.
